Stabbed Pupil Receives Compensation

Pupil stabbed at School receives compensation damages.
On 12th July Grantham County Court approved an infant settlement for a Ringrose client who had been stabbed by a fellow pupil whilst working in a woodwork class. The Local Education Authority responsible for the school agreed to pay an out of court settlement, which our client accepted. Our client's case was that the relevant authority had failed to provide a safe enviroment for our client and had failed to have sufficient care for his welfare.
Following the incident, the school's practices and proceedures were changed to the satisfaction of OFSTED.
Our client is delighted with the outcome, and we wish him all the very best for his future.
