Well, no not really!

Once you have made a Will, you do need to review it regularly because there are likely to have been changes in your circumstances, the tax position and the law generally since you last looked at it. Wills that were made to plan for Inheritance Tax may now not work as you wish or be as tax efficient as they were at the time. You may now have grandchildren to provide for. Care home fees might be a more immediate concern for you than they were 20 years ago! It is always best to see us to find out if changes need to be made once you have made your Will.

At Ringrose Law, if we hold your Will, we offer a free Will review service. We do not charge for a review of its terms, only for any changes that need to be made. If no changes are needed we will tell you so straight. We recommend that you review your Will every five years or if something significant changes in your life.

We can also make sure that your Will is registered with Certainty, the national Wills register. By registering with Certainty, you have peace of mind that it isn’t overlooked after your death and that your loved ones will be able to access it.
