Most armed services personnel are informed that they are unable to bring a claim for compensation against the Ministry of Defence until after they have left the services. This is not the case. If anyone has suffered an injury whilst serving in the armed forces they must bring a claim within three years of the date of the accident or injury as is stipulated in the Limitation Act 1980. If you do decide to pursue a claim again the Ministry of Defence whilst you are still serving this will not affect your military career.
