A recent report by HM Inspectorate of Constabulary criticised Police forces suggesting there are unacceptable weaknesses despite domestic abuse being linked to 8% of crimes.  The reports describes the “Serial Offenders” as Greater Manchester, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Gloucestershire Police force.

Our domestic abuse team in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire work closely with Police Domestic Violence Officers in both Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire to ensure that all that can be done is done. We will often see anyone seeking advice regarding domestic violence and  abuse on the same day and we work closely with the Police to make sure every available protective measure is in place.

From Tuesday 15th April we are running a free domestic abuse clinic, for anyone seeking advice regarding domestic abuse, at our Newark office.  For further details you can telephone on 01636 594460 or our out of hours domestic abuse helpline on 07872456369.
