There will be a legal aid review, following on from the cuts that took place in April 2013.

As many of you know in April 2013 the amount of legal aid available for many family issues significantly dropped. For divorce and finance and children matters you could only obtain legal aid if you met one of the criteria for there being a risk to a child or a risk of domestic abuse.

There have been some changes to the criteria however these were just about the length of time the domestic abuse evidence was valid for.

The government have now confirmed that they will undertake a long awaited review of the Legal aid.
