If your thoughts turn to reviewing or making your will and you are concerned about costs we would make you aware that there are schemes which are available to you including the Cancer Research Free Wills Scheme.
The scheme is open to those wishing to prepare or update their simple Will, free of charge. Most people who use the service, leave a gift in their Will for Cancer Research. This gift will be deducted from their estate when they pass away. Any gifts received by Cancer Research, helps to raise invaluable funds which assist them with their research.
Around 1 in 3 people do not have a Will.
Where a person dies without making a will, their assets are shared out according to the rules of intestacy. This is where a person’s property and assets are shared out to family members and relatives based on a series of qualifying factors, and may not correspond with your wishes.
There can also be a number of inheritance tax benefits when making a gift to a charity. A member of our team can discuss with you in more detail if you require.
We can discuss your requirements and have an initial consultation over the telephone, and a member of our team is always available to help.
