So often when I have spoken with clients who enquire about making a personal injury claim, they advise me that they are not ‘in it for the money’ rather they just don’t want someone else to suffer like they have.

Whilst we don’t want anyone else to suffer like you might have and whilst we cannot promise a similar accident won’t happen again, by submitting the claim we definitely are making the Defendant aware of their (potential) negligence, and if they have any sense, they will make some positive change to try to avoid it happening again.

The main role of a personal injury claim is to put you in the same position, as far as possible, that you would have been had it not been for the accident.

At Ringrose Law we are here to help guide you through the process to achieve this.  Our experienced team which is made up of lawyers who specialise in different areas of personal injury, will professionally advise you of your options. Your best interests will always be our main priority, so we will always try and get you the best treatment and settlement possible.

In respect of the settlement, this isn’t necessarily just compensation for your injuries, this could include other accident related losses such as past and future loss of earnings, loss of pension, loss of enjoyment, travel expenses such as taxi fares because you haven’t been able to drive, prescription charges for medication, damage or loss to personal items such as clothing and phones, to recover the cost of hiring a dog walker or gardener, and for care and assistance you have needed due to injuries.

The best time to make a personal injury claim is as soon as you can.  This is so your needs can be assessed and private independent rehabilitation input, where possible, can be put in place at the earliest opportunity to enable you to get back to your normal daily living. This could be a short course of physiotherapy for a soft tissue injury, psychotherapy input to help with traumatic psychological accident related symptoms, or a case manager instruction for complex cases.  Whatever your needs, we will help you to identify the same to aid with your recovery.
