About Catherine Drake
Catherine Drake is a paralegal in the Mental Health Department, Catherine’s role is managing files, meeting with clients and assisting the solicitors in the team.
She has previous experience in mental health law and has actively been working with the charity Mind in their independent review of the Mental Health Act. Catherine has also been on a number of educational mental health courses such as the foundation course with the Mental Health Lawyers association and ‘Supporting Someone with Mental Health’ run by Mind.
She joined the firm in May 2019 but had previously been completing work experience with the mental health and family department.
Catherine is currently in her last year of a Law degree at the University of Lincoln. She is completing a dissertation on how mental health law affects the human rights of patients.
Her aspirations are to complete her LPC and Masters degree and go on to become a solicitor within the firm.
Hobbies and Interests
In her spare time, Catherine enjoys looking after her pet rabbit Ziggy and going on road trips with her friends. It is also her plan to see more of the world, especially New Zealand
