We are celebrating after our carol concert last week at Lincoln Cathedral, which could only be described as a ‘truly magical’ event, in aid of The Prince’s Trust.

Over 900 people gathered to the Cathedral to listen to eight schools perform a Christmas carol of their choice to an x-factor style judging panel. The eight schools included, Branston Junior Academy, Ellison Boulters Academy in Scothern, St Annes Primary in Grantham, Allington with Sedgebrook Primary, Boston West Academy, Heighington Millfield Academy, Sir Francis Hill Primary and Farndon St Peter’s Primary.

All eight schools were fantastic on the night, giving the judges a hard decision to make. But Heighington Millfield peaked above the rest and was voted the best choir of the night, winning a trip for the choir to the Fun Farm in North Hykeham.

Other prizes given included the winner of the CD cover competition, which was won by a pupil from Ellison Boulters Academy in Scothern. Isabelle Curtis collected her prize which was a trip to Rand Farm Park for her class.

Robert Breckon, Team Leader for the project was delighted with how well the night had gone. ‘We are overwhelmed with the support we have had, the concert was fantastic and all eight schools performed really well. We have so far raised over £6,000 for Princes Trust and could not have done that without the great support we have had.’

But the fundraising doesn’t stop here! We are still selling concert CD’s (buy from www.ringroselaw.co.uk/millionmakers) and raffle tickets until December. To find out more or for the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes, including a nights stay at the Lincoln Hilton DoubleTree Hotel, 2 day passes for Eden Hall or a weeks family gym membership to Burton Waters, please contact me, Alex Gray at alex.gray@ringroselaw.co.uk.
