Congratulations to Grantham Additional Needs Federation, the winners of the Ringrose Law ‘A Grand Idea’ for Grantham.

Grantham Additional Needs Federation (GANF) comprises of two Grantham based schools, Sandon School and Ambergate Sports College, and caters for children age 3 to 19. GANF supports pupils who have complex needs, many with autism and ADHD and some with profound multiple learning difficulties. The £1,000 donation will support GANF with trying to raise funds for adapted gym equipment for their less able pupils.

On hearing the great news, James Ellis, Vice Principal at Grantham Additional Needs Federation commented;

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this money from A Grand Idea. Our pupils have such complex needs and many cannot access standard exercise that we all take for granted.  At GANF we want to offer these pupils a chance to keep fit and have fun at the same time.

We are trying to raise £10,000 to refurbish a disused space and transform it into a Gym.  We need to kit the gym out with adapted equipment for our less able pupils and this £1,000 has given us a fantastic start for our fundraising campaign!”

A Grand Idea was launched earlier this year by Ringrose Law, who are committed to giving an impressive £1,000 each to six different charities/community groups across Lincolnshire and Newark. To date the scheme has supported Beaumond House in Newark, Hollies Animal Rescue Home in Sleaford, Spalding Football Club and Branston Skate Park.

Alex Gray, Marketing Manager at Ringrose Law comments;

“We had some fantastic entries from Grantham and surrounding villages, all such very worthy causes. After short listing the top five projects we opened up a public vote, which really was neck and neck until the very last second! We are delighted that Grantham Additional Needs Federation has won, and hope this provides them with the kick-start they need for their fundraising.”

Ringrose Law has always been keen to engage with the community whenever possible and supports a wide variety of sports teams, charities and local community projects across Lincolnshire and Newark.

“This year we really wanted to make an impact in our community and leave a lasting legacy which will benefit lots of people for years to come. A Grand Idea has offered every local project, however big or small, the chance to enter into this fantastic opportunity of winning £1,000.” comments Alex.

A Grand Idea will be continuing in 2014. If any community project or charity would like to send an application in go to www.ringroselaw.co.uk/agrandidea for more information.
