Why do I need a Will when I want it all to go to my family?

If you die without a Will (intestate) your estate, however large or small, will be dealt with under the rules of intestacy.

If such rules mean that your estate will pass equally between your children then this can often cause friction amongst them, even if they usually get along. Particularly if one child states that they were under the impression that they were to receive certain possessions.

To make it easier for those you leave behind, make a Will. Your Will can state who is to deal with the administration of your estate and who is to receive such personal items as well as how you wish the residue of your estate to be distributed. Assuming it will all be sorted how you want it is not going to work.

For more information or if you need a Will, contact our team of advisors across Lincolnshire and Newark. Our Wills start from £125 +VAT, but ask one of our team for any deals or disounts you may be able to receive.
