I recently represented a client at Lincoln Magistrates Court who had been caught speeding by a mobile speed camera van. His speed was high and quite rightly my client expected to receive a driving disqualification due to the high speed in a built up area. A driving ban would have meant that my client potentially lost his job as he could not carry out his duties without his driving licence. Additionally, the loss of his driving licence would have had a significant impact upon him personally.

Thankfully, I was able to persuade the Magistrates not to ban him but deal with him by way of 6 penalty points and a fine. My client now needs to be extremely careful in the future but his job was saved so he was understandably very happy.

If you are caught speeding or receive a summons for any road traffic offences and don’t want to lose your driving licence, call our specialist Road Traffic Defence Team at Ringrose Law.
