Sonia Bhalla from the Ringrose Law Criminal Defence Team recently represented a client at the Magistrates Court for shop theft. The client was a prolific shoplifter and had recently served a term of imprisonment for the same offence.
After forwarding mitigation on the client’s behalf, Sonia successfully persuaded the Magistrates to impose a fine, therefore avoiding another period in custody or other disposals such as a Community Order. A very good result from Sonia and the client was delighted!
