Following on from the success of the 2016 Lincoln Dragon Boat Race we are pleased to announce the date for the 2017 Lincoln Dragon boat race on Saturday 22nd July 2017 on the Brayford Waterfront.

Dragon Boat Racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and over the last few years has become the fastest growing water activity in Britain today.

The 2017 Lincoln Dagron Boat Race, held earlier this year, was the first boat race the Brayford Waterfront has hosted for many years. Ringrose Law Solicitors, along with Lincoln BIG and supporting partners decided to take the plunge and re-introduce the event back to the City’s event calendar earlier this year. The day was a huge success with hundreds of spectators throughout the day watching the eight local teams competing to be crowned the 2016 Dragon Boat Champion.

The prestigious title was won by APSS Group, one of the local firms competing on the day, other local firms competing included Delta-Simons Environmental Consultants, The University of Lincoln, Lambert Smith Hampton, Ruddocks, Duncan & Toplis, Simons Group and Ringrose Law.

Michael Armstrong, Events & Promotions Manager at Lincoln BIG Commented;
The Dragon Boat Race bought great excitement to one of the most beautiful parts of the city and attracted scores of visitors. We hope this will become an annual feature of the city’s events calendar and continue to grow year on year.”

Alex Bennett, Marketing Manager commented;
“The day was a great success, we had lots of support on the day and it was a lot of fun for the competing teams. We were really pleased to raise money for the local charities and hope to make 2017 a bigger and better event.”

Teams are welcome to register their interest now and if they book before 31st December 2016 will receive a 10% discount. For further information contact Alex Bennett alex.bennett@ringroselaw.co.uk or call 01529 301300.
