Congratulations to the Lincoln Food Bank, the winners of the Ringrose Law ‘A Grand Idea’ for Lincoln.

Lincoln Food Bank entered into the A Grand Idea project in May and after a month of public voting, has won the £1,000 to go towards the Food Bank. Lincoln Foodbank project provides 3 day emergency food to local people in crisis.

On hearing the great news, Amy Colley – Food bank Coordinator commented;

“We would like to thank Ringrose Law for this opportunity and we are so excited to have won the A Grand Idea funding. Last year Lincoln Foodbank supported just under 2500 local people who were in crisis with emergency food parcels. The money won through the Ringrose Law A Grand Idea scheme will go to support the continued work that we are doing and is very much appreciated.”

The project ‘A Grand Idea’, was first launched 2013 and has proven to be extremely popular since.

Alex Bennett, Marketing Manager at Ringrose Law comments;

“We had a phenomenal number of entries across Lincoln and surrounding villages, all such very worthy causes. After short listing the top five projects we opened up a public vote for the five finalists. We are delighted Lincoln Food Bank won and hope that the money really helps to benefit those in need.”

According to the Lincoln Foodbank data from 2016, 929 vouchers were given to 1886 people ⅓ of which were children. Without this support many of these families would have gone without food.

Ringrose Law has long supported the local community and given to charity;

“We are always keen to engage with the community whenever we can and support a wide variety of sports teams, charities and local community projects across Lincolnshire and Newark.

This year we really want to make an impact in our community and leave a lasting legacy which will benefit lots of people for years to come. A Grand Idea offers every local project, however big or small, the chance to enter into this fantastic opportunity of winning £1,000.”

A Grand Idea will be continuing throughout 2017. If any community project or charity would like to send an application in go to www.ringroselaw.co.uk/agrandidea for further information.
