Congratulations to Digby War Memorial Hall, the winners of the Ringrose Law ‘A Grand Idea’ for Sleaford.

Digby War Memorial Hall is a community building at the centre of Digby. The Hall is used for various events and groups throughout the year including coffee mornings, community cinema, judo for children, bowling and kurling for the U3A! The Hall is currently undergoing a comprehensive programme of refurbishment. The money from A Grand Idea will be put to good use in the purchase of new flooring in the kitchen and bar as well as decorating these areas.

On hearing the news the trustees commented;

“Both the trustees of Digby War Memorial Hall and the residents of Digby village are thrilled to have won ‘A Grand Idea’. The £1000 will be put to good use almost immediately in continuing with our refurbishment and updating our kitchen and bar facilities. Amounts like this really make a difference and will help the hall to continue as the heart of the community.

Thank you Ringrose Law and everyone who voted for us!

The project ‘A Grand Idea’, was first launched 2013. The project has supported over 20 local charities, groups and voluntary organisations across Lincolnshire and Newark.

Alex Bennett, Marketing Manager at Ringrose Law comments;

“We had some fantastic entries from local community groups and charities in Sleaford. After short listing the top five projects we opened up a public vote. We are delighted that Digby War Memorial Hall has won and hope the Hall can continue to deliver a fantastic service to the local residents.”

Ringrose Law has always supported the local community and given to charity;

We are always keen to engage with the community whenever we can and support a wide variety of sports teams, charities and local community projects across Lincolnshire and Newark.

This last year we have really wanted to make an impact in our community and leave a lasting legacy which will benefit lots of people for years to come. A Grand Idea offers every local project, however big or small, the chance to enter into this fantastic opportunity of winning £1,000.”
