A brand-new charity wheelchair basketball tournament is coming to Lincoln this March, as Ringrose Law teams up with the Sheffield Steelers Wheelchair Basketball Club for an evening of inclusive, fast-paced sport.

Taking place on Monday 30th March at the University of Lincoln Sports Facilities, the tournament will bring together local businesses for a friendly but competitive event – all while raising vital funds to support the ongoing work of the Sheffield Steelers.

Designed to be accessible to all, no prior basketball experience is needed, giving participants a rare opportunity to try one of the UK’s most dynamic disability sports while supporting a club that creates life-changing opportunities for its athletes.

Players will arrive from 5pm ahead of a short briefing, before the first games tip off at 5.30pm. Pizzas will be provided on the evening to keep teams fuelled throughout the competition.

The Sheffield Steelers Wheelchair Basketball Club plays a vital role in promoting inclusive sport, providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to build confidence, develop skills, and compete at a high level.

Funds raised from the tournament will help support the club’s programmes, specialist equipment, and athlete development – ensuring the team can continue making a difference both on and off the court.

Places are limited, and early registration is encouraged.

Teams of up to seven players can enter with a team donation. A portion of the entry fee will contribute towards event delivery, with funds raised helping to support the Sheffield Steelers Wheelchair Basketball Club.
