On Tuesday 22nd October members of our Discrimination Team attended Rise4Disability in Milton Keynes, where we were one of 100’s of exhibitors who advocate for the disabled community. The conference brought together a range of companies offering both products and services that support individuals living with disabilities and showcased a range of speakers including our Head of Discrimination, Carrie Clewes.
Carrie gave an inspiring presentation detailing ‘A Day in the life’ of individuals living with a range of disabilities and how prevalent discrimination can be in everyday life. It highlighted the exceptional work of our Discrimination Team who not only offer legal support but are paving the way for change.
Our team deal with cases of discrimination not only relating to disability but relating to 9 Protected Characteristics as outlined in The Equality Act 2010:
- Age
- Disability
- Gender
- Gender reassignment
- Marriage and civil partnership
- Pregnancy and maternity
- Race
- Religion or belief
- Sexual orientation
If you believe that you have experienced discrimination towards any of the above, please contact our team on 0333 3580 393. Further details can also be found on our website : https://www.ringroselaw.co.uk/personal-law/discrimination/
