Ringrose Law can help you in the Magistrates Court
The Magistrates Court deal with 95% of cases brought before the criminal courts, and we have a team of experienced solicitors who are able to help you at the Magistrates Courts.
You might qualify for Legal Aid. This will depend upon your income and the seriousness of the charges against you. Our team will always be happy to discuss this with you.
If for whatever reason you do not qualify for Legal Aid, then we will be happy to discuss fees for representing you at the Magistrates Courts with you. These can either be at an hourly rate, or a fixed rate, depending upon the circumstances.
Appeals – How can our Criminal Defence team help you?
You may have been convicted by a court either when you were represented or not. In either event, we may be able to assist you with an appeal.
There are normally strict deadlines by which appeals must be lodged but these can sometimes be extended if there are good reasons.
However, it is important that you get in touch with us as soon as possible to discuss your appeal.
Some appeals are considered by the Criminal Case Review Commission. The CCRC will make recommendations to the Court of Appeal if it appears that there has been a miscarriage of justice.
It may be necessary to obtain new evidence, such as an expert’s report, to present to the CCRC. Without professional assistance, there is a serious risk of your case not receiving the consideration that it deserves.
You might be entitled to Legal Aid to assist you in preparing an appeal, and a member of our team will happily discuss this with you. If you are currently serving a prison sentence, then a member of our team can come to the prison to advise you.
