Laura has a wealth of experience representing clients before the Mental Health Review Tribunal and at Hospital Managers Hearings across the Midlands.
Laura has advised and represented patients detained under the Mental Health Act (as amended) 1983. Laura also represents patients detained under both civil and forensic sections, including community patients to high secure hospitals such as Rampton.
As well as this, Laura is an experienced advocate with the First Tier Mental Health Tribunal.
Laura graduated with honours from Lancaster University having studied History. She also completed part of her degree at the University of Copenhagen. She then went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Certificate at the College of Law Chester. Laura qualified as a Solicitor in 2009.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and going to the gym (or coming up with excuses not to go!).
