Yesterday (13th May) the Property Market ‘re-opened’ for buyers and sellers.

This has allowed people to pick up where they left off with their existing transaction and start to actively look at buying and selling.

Reporting in Today’s Conveyancer it is confirmed that…

“According to data analytics organisations, it is estimated that 163,000 properties worth £55 billion which have been frozen at sale agreed with searches completed can now start to add a welcome cash injection to the sector.

Although the team at Ringrose Law never stopped, it is anticipated the next few weeks and months will be very busy as people pick up from where they left off and look to complete their transaction.

Julie Atkinson, Head of the Residential Team at Ringrose Law warns clients it may take time for the market to recover.

“For the time being, moving to a new house is going to be challenging for everyone involved. It is important that vital Social Distancing measures are in place at every stage of the process.

Our team can take new instructions whilst continuing to work from home. Whilst our offices may not be open to the public just yet, we have the technology and software that we need to act for our clients and provide the same excellent levels of customer service.

We will continue to work very closely with mortgage brokers, other solicitors, surveyors, developers, planners, builders and removers to ensure that things try to run as smoothly as possible.

Our advice right now is please do get in touch. Whether you are part way through a transaction or wanting to buy or sell a property, ensure you seek legal advice as soon as possible.”
