Our Community

At Ringrose Law, giving back to our community is something we care deeply about.

Whether it’s taking part in our annual volunteer days, fundraising for local charities, or organising collections for food banks, clothes banks, and women’s refuges, our team is always looking for ways to make a difference.

Our Community

Each year, we proudly support many charities and community groups. This includes sponsorship of local sports teams—such as football, netball, and bowls—as well as raising awareness through national campaigns like Hats for Headway, Wear It Pink for Breast Cancer, and White Ribbon Day for domestic abuse prevention.

One of our most loved initiatives is our annual Active April challenge, where staff across the firm commit to walking 100 miles throughout April to raise money for a chosen local charity.

Supporting the communities where we live and work is at the heart of everything we do.

Community Support

Our support goes beyond financial donations — our team actively engages with local charities and community organisations by giving educational talks and presentations, volunteering time, supporting events, and much more.

Over the last few years, we have supported and sponsored many local charities and organisations across the region, including:

Lincoln Dragon Boat Race

Ringrose Law has hosted the Lincoln Dragon Boat Race on the Brayford Waterfront since 2016.

In the last few years the event has doubled in size and the event has raised over £25,000 for local charities including the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, LIVES and St Barnabas Hospice Lincoln.  This event has also had a knock-on effect for the City, with increased levels of tourists coming into the City to watch the event and boosting sales in local shops, pubs and restaurants.

The 2026 Lincoln Dragon Boat Race will be held on Saturday 11th July with the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

A Grand Idea

We launched our A Grand Idea scheme in 2013 and for four years pledged £1,000 to over 20 different charities across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. pledged to donate £1,000 each to six different local charities across the region each year. Our A Grand Idea stopped in 2019.

Not only did we donated the money but our staff have also worked closely with some of the groups and charities over the last few years, including the Children’s Bereavement Centre in Newark, Grantham Tennis Club, Friskney Bowmen Archery Club, Lincoln Friends of Anthony Nolan and many more.

“Taking part in the Grand Idea competition has already raised the profile of our local fundraising group and we are delighted to win £1000. Thanks to Ringrose Law, we will now organise our first recruitment and information event for next year and hopefully get some more potential lifesavers to sign up in Lincoln and the surrounding villages.”

Staff Volunteer Days

At Ringrose Law, we believe great firms don’t just work in communities, they invest in them. Our Staff Volunteer Days scheme is one of the ways we put that belief into practice.

Every member of the Ringrose Law team is entitled to one fully paid volunteer day each year.

Whether supporting a local foodbank, helping at an animal sanctuary, or running a crèche at a specialist conference. If it matters to you, it matters to us.
