Child Social Care

Time Limited Residence Order

What is a Time Limited Live with Child Arrangements Order?

If the Courts are satisfied that someone within your family can care for the child until the final hearing, then they will grant a Time Limited live with Child Arrangements Order for your child. This means the child would remain in their care until the Final Hearing.

Will I still have Parental Responsibility if an Order is issued?

You would still have Parental Responsibility if a Time Limited Order is issued. But you would share it with the family member who would be looking after your child.

What do I need to do next?

If you are worried that this will happen to you and your child or it is happening to you then you must contact us as soon as you can. We can act on your behalf, understanding your situation and working together with Social Services, the Courts and the Local Authority to ensure the best outcome for you and your child.
