How to Find Our Solicitors in Lincoln City Centre
Our Lincoln office is based at St Peter at Arches on the High Street — right in the heart of the city centre, next to the Stonebow arch, and within easy walking distance of both the train and bus stations.
Arriving By Train
- Arrive at Lincoln Central Station (LCN).
- The station is perfectly located for a simple and direct walk to your destination.
Walking from the Train Station (Approx. 10-15 minutes):
- Exit the station building onto St Mary’s Street.
- Walk straight ahead, crossing the main road (Wigford Way / Pelham Bridge) at the pedestrian crossings.
- You will now be at the start of the main High Street pedestrianised shopping area.
- Continue walking straight up the High Street for approximately half a mile.
- You will pass the Waterside Shopping Centre on your right and a range of shops and banks.
- Continue walking north towards the hill and the Cathedral. You will see a large, medieval stone gatehouse called The Stonebow arching over the street.
- St Peter at Arches is the church building on your left-hand side, just before you reach the Stonebow arch.
Arriving By Bus
- Arrive at Lincoln Central Bus Station. The bus station is located directly next to the train station.
- From here, the destination is a short and pleasant walk through the city centre.
Walking from the Bus Station (Approx. 10 minutes):
- Exit the bus station onto St Mary’s Street, with the train station on your left.
- Cross the main road (Wigford Way) at the pedestrian crossing directly in front of you to get onto the High Street.
- Walk straight up the pedestrianised High Street, heading towards the Cathedral in the distance.
- As you near the top of the flat shopping area, you will see the large stone archway (The Stonebow) ahead of you.
- St Peter at Arches is the prominent church building located on your left, right next to the Stonebow.
Arriving By Car
Important Note: The destination is located within a pedestrianised zone. You cannot drive directly to the front door. The goal is to park in a nearby public car park and walk the final short distance. A Sat Nav may try to direct you through restricted areas; it is better to navigate to a chosen car park.
General Directions:
- Follow major routes (A46, A15, A57) and follow signs for Lincoln City Centre.
- As you get closer, follow signs for City Centre Car Parks.
Recommended Parking Options
- Broadgate Car Park (LN2 5AP) – Closest Option: A large surface pay-and-display car park.
- Walking from here (3-4 minutes): Exit the car park and walk along Broadgate. Take the first left onto Silver Street. Walk to the end of Silver Street. St Peter at Arches is the building directly in front of you where the street meets the High Street.
- Lincoln Central Car Park (LN5 7BP): A large, secure multi-storey car park next to the train station. Ideal for longer stays.
- Walking from here (10-15 minutes):Exit the car park and follow the walking directions as described in the “By Train” section above.
- Lucy Tower Street Car Park (LN1 1XL): Another popular multi-storey car park.
- Walking from here (5-7 minutes):Exit the car park onto Lucy Tower Street, turn right, and walk towards the High Street. Turn left onto the High Street and walk north. St Peter at Arches will be on your left, just before the Stonebow arch.
Arriving On Foot (From within Lincoln City Centre)
The building is one of the city’s most central and easy-to-find landmarks.
- Key Landmark: Find the High Street and look for The Stonebow (the large medieval stone arch that crosses over the main shopping street).
- If you are walking up the High Street from the south (from the direction of the train station), St Peter at Arches is the historic church building on your left, just before you pass under the arch.
- If you are walking down Steep Hill/The Strait from the Cathedral Quarter, walk through the Stonebow arch, and the building will be immediately on your right.
