Congratulations to Beaumond House Community Hospice, the winners of the Ringrose Law ‘A Grand Idea’ for Newark.

Beaumond House is a registered charity that has been committed to providing supportive palliative care to patients with life limiting or terminal illnesses and their families living in Newark & district, since 1987.

Beaumond House entered into the A Grand Idea project in February and after a month of public voting, has won the £1,000 to go towards their charity and the fantastic work they do in the community. On hearing the great news, Patrick Fisher – Managing Director of Beaumond House commented;

“Thank you to Ringrose Law for short listing Beaumond House, it was a real close run competition towards the end. Thanks to all who voted for us and their continued support for Beaumond House. The £1,000 will make a real difference to the patients and their families that we care for.”

A Grand Idea was launched earlier this year by Ringrose Law, who committed to giving an impressive £1,000 each to six different charities/community groups across Lincolnshire and Newark. The project was launched in Newark in February and voting went live for the five finalists in March.

Alex Gray, Marketing Manager at Ringrose Law comments;

“We had some fantastic entries from Newark and surrounding villages, all such very worthy causes. After short listing the top five projects we opened up a public vote, which really was neck and neck until the very last second! We are delighted that Beaumond House has won.

Ringrose Law has always supported the local community and given to charity, and earlier this month attended a Princes Trust Awards Ceremony in London with HRH Prince Charles for the recognition of the work they have done with The Princes Trust.

“We are always keen to engage with the community whenever we can and support a wide variety of sports teams, charities and local community projects across Lincolnshire and Newark.

This year we really want to make an impact in our community and leave a lasting legacy which will benefit lots of people for years to come. A Grand Idea offers every local project, however big or small, the chance to enter into this fantastic opportunity of winning £1,000″ comments Alex.

A Grand Idea will be continuing throughout 2013 and the next spotlight town will be Sleaford. If any community project or charity would like to send an application in go to www.ringroselaw.co.uk/agrandidea for more information.
