Branston Skate Park are delighted to be the latest winners of the Ringrose Law Community Project Scheme ‘A Grand Idea’ and yesterday were presented with a cheque for £1,000 to help towards the funding for the project.

The ‘A Grand Idea’ project was set up at the start of 2013 by Ringrose Law, who pledged to give £1,000 each to six different community projects across their six office locations. To date Ringrose Law has supported Beaumond House Hospice in Newark, Hollies Animal and Rehoming Trust in Sleaford and Spalding Rugby Club.

Branston Skate Park intends to use the £1,000 towards a Ramp or Grind Rail to be erected in the park. The team of fundraisers behind the project believes Branston Skate Park Project will give a lot of children from Branston and the surrounding villages a lot of enjoyment, providing them with their own safe place to enjoy being active outdoors.

Sarah Stead, who has been involved in the fundraising from the start comments;

“We are absolutely thrilled to win! I think this will make the local kids really start to believe that their dream might come true and show them that their voices have been heard. This is not just £1000 but also provides real evidence of need and support when we submit the main funding application to Wren next month.”

John Knight, Partner & Head of the Personal Injury Team at Ringrose Law comments;

“We are delighted to be able to support Branston Skate Park with our A Grand Idea scheme. Being here today just highlights the importance of this project for the local community, and we are pleased to be able to have a part in a project that will benefit the community for many years to come.”

The A Grand Idea project continues across Lincolnshire until the end of the year and will finish in Boston in December. If you run a community group in the Boston area and want to get involved go to www.ringroselaw.co.uk/agrandidea.
