An Interim Supervision Order means that the Local Authority has to assist and befriend the parents of the child. The Local Authority will support the parents in providing good enough parenting.
An Interim Supervision Order does not mean that the Local Authority would share Parental Responsibility with the parents, or with any other person with Parental Responsibility, and so it would not give them the power to remove the child from the parents care. The role is to support and befriend the parents of the child.
If you are worried that this will happen to you and your child or it is happening to you then you must contact us immediately. We can act on your behalf, understanding your situation and working together with Social Services, the Courts and the Local Authority to ensure the best outcome for you and your child.
